This goal is a great buy if you want to go cheap. But to say in general that I had saved money for a decent lens for the camera. I have the Nikon D40x, and I would have waited to buy a genuine Nikon lens with auto focus and image stabilizer.
The Opteka 500 mm you need lots of light (very light). You also need a stable platform (tri-or monopod) and patience. Does not fit EF 75-300 – R. Jorgensen – St Paul MN
The plastic hood seems to be of good quality, but is not described for the EF 75-300 Cannon as its title. It 'very vague shape on my goal.
Worth the prise (I guess) – Gayan Randeny –
First is made of very thin plastic – easy, as the bags bursting pressure
Second best fits and clicks when I put it in reverse position with respect to the front of the lens to block stray light
Requires third time to put in front of the lens
Fourth No vignetting caused by the hood
So I think it's worth the cost. But if you are a professional or someone who firmly grasps the bags or use the hood often use a Canon.
