This card is slower than the Kingston 4GB 133x Card – A. D. Lawlor – Omaha, NE USA
Last year I bought a 4GB Kingston Elite Pro 133X Compact Flash memory card for my Canon EOS Rebel digital camera. I was very happy with the card 133X very satisfied and have no problems with it at all. However, I wanted a second card to carry around with me as I filled my card twice, while away from home.
As the recent Kingston 4GB Ultimate 266X Compact Flash Card for sale at about the same price for the card I slower last year I thought it would be paid faster with the photo happyThe download speed from camera to computer. However, I was completely wrong and very disappointed.
This morning I did a speed file transfer test and although it is not a laboratory test, scientifically rigorous test confirmed my earlier comments.
The 266X card is much slower than the 133X board.
For my test, I formatted both cards on the camera and I took 40 pictures with my EOS – I'm sure the camera to a tree and heldthe shutter up to 40 images were captured. I changed the cards and repeat the procedure.
Then I downloaded the images (all taken in full resolution jpg). It took 31 seconds to completely download 40 images from the card 266X, but only 22 seconds to download 40 images from the card to 133x.
Then I uploaded a 595MB file from my computer to any card with a USB card reader. It was not until the clock of 03.35 upload files to the card 266X. The same file that is loadedKingston 133X map 3:32, no significant difference.
I then downloaded the file from two identical cards: 2.31 133X adopted during the 266X is a full minute länger@03.31.
According to the website of Kingston, I to 40 MB / s tab 266X compared to 20 MB / s 133X tab.
So great that after what is my point? The 266X card simply does not measure up to the speed advertised statistics and I feel like I wasted money.
